Hand Pie Taste Off

Right before we celebrated Thanksgiving this year, we decided we needed to do a hand pie taste off to find the best hand pies in Utah. We were able to include so many new and delicious pie flavors in the hand pie taste off kits that we think should be added to your Thanksgiving menus next year. They were seriously that good! Check these out!

  1. Grapefruit & Thyme: Creme Brûlée Sugar Pie with Fresh Cinnamon
  2. Pie Party: Harvest Peaches and Cream
  3. Buttered Bake Shop: Fresh Strawberry with Vanilla Icing and Sprinkles
  4. Rowleys Red Barn: Tart Cherry with a Cinnamon Sugar Crust
  5. Carols Pastry Shop: Homestyle Apple
  6. Rewhipped: Wild Blueberry with a Sweet Glaze

All of the pies were so perfectly baked, and the fillings were such a delight! There is only one that can be considered the best, though, and that winner is…..Grapefruit and Thyme with their Creme Brûlée hand pie! From the moment we took that first bite, it was true love! Seriously. The crunchy outer Creme Brûlée coating with the silky smooth filling had us going back for more and wishing we had bought two kits just so we could eat more of that one! A HUGE thanks to Grapefruit and Thyme for making such a delicious treat, and thanks to all the vendors for participating in our hand pie taste off.

We couldn’t do what we do without everyone purchasing and participating in our weekly kits. We love hearing the feedback of what your favorites are and why. If you missed out on this box, or any other box, it probably is because you aren’t on our email list. Sign up to get our emails so that you can be first in line to purchase the new taste of kits every week.

One last thing before you go. Did you know that we survey our social media occasionally to get the best restaurant and food tips? It’s true! We have been slowly turning those tips into amazing posts. Just check out our post about where to find the best rolls in Utah. And since it’s almost Christmas, check out the best Christmas treats post we put together. You are sure to find some new places to put on your “where to eat tonight” list.
